Below, we asked Karim a few questions to get to know him a little better.
Karim Bartels – Junior Marketing Manager
Karim Bartels was born in Berlin and has lived there his whole life. He is currently a student and has been working with us as a working student since last December. Before joining our company, he had no prior experience with affiliate marketing.
That's exactly what we wanted to know from Karim...
What are you looking forward to in your new position? I’m looking forward to gaining new experience in a field that’s still new to me. In the past, I haven’t had much to do with affiliate or partner marketing in a professional context. It’s also exciting to start my first job as a working student.
What do you do besides your job at Ingenious? I’m currently in my fourth semester of a media management degree program and am very happy with my choice. Before starting my degree, I began an apprenticeship as an automotive salesperson at a BMW dealership, but I dropped out to pursue my studies.
Your favorite food: I like pretty much everything 
If I had to choose a dish, it would be pasta—no matter what kind.
Beer or wine?Beer. Definitely beer.
Mountains or the sea? Definitelythe sea.
Please finish this sentence: For me, affiliate marketing is… First and foremost, uncharted territory. However, based on the knowledge I’ve gained so far, I believe that affiliate marketing is a win-win situation for both partners.
